Personal Learning Networks

Thanks to everyone who took the time last week to fill out the survey on Web 2.0 tools. The tools referenced in the survey are some of the ones that can help you build a Personal Learning Network (PLN). A PLN is basically just the group of people (online) with whom you interact to gain new knowledge. Think of it as the largest teacher’s lounge around, filled with the best education professionals, which you get to select.

I put together a presentation for you, introducing you to the concept of a Personal Learning Network, what you can get out of it, and best resource suggestions from your colleagues. FYI, there’s sound included, so either turn the volume up or down.  :)  Click the button to the right of the sound icon if you want to view it in full screen mode. Note: Hit the refresh button on your browser if you don’t see the video below.

Are you curious about the survey results? Take a look at them in this Keynote presentation. To view it in full screen mode, click the “full” button at the bottom of the presentation.

    Hi Ann
I missed the survey that you did and am puzzled by the results. It looks like you surveyed 2 groups, but I wasn’t sure who they were- elementary teachers and ?

    Thanks

    Hi Maureen,

The survey was for the teachers in my district. It was done via SurveyMonkey. Elementary teachers from the three schools in our district were surveyed. The results are the combination of all three schools.
