Welcome to the Tuesday Tech Talk, bringing you some of the best web sites I’ve looked at recently, that you can really use! Great sites for this week include:
Literactive:
Literactive is shared with you courtesy of Maureen Briggs. It is a site all about teaching primary grade children to read. Literactive includes animated leveled readers, phonics activities, ELL materials, and more. You have to register to access many of the materials, but registration is free.
Estimation and Rounding
Estimation and Rounding is actually a hotlist of learning activity sites I’ve found, and put together for student use. The direct link is above, but it’s also linked from the student 3-5 Curriculum Page at each grade level, under math webquests and hotlists. If you have other sites you’ve found that should be added to this hotlist, please let me know.
Countersquare
Countersquare is shared courtesy of Debbie Camp. It is essentially a giant hundreds board with markers that can be placed on it in any location. Definitely worth a look!
